TITANIC V

Well here it is, the reason WHY!!! I have Taken Titanic II and tore her apart! I really have an attachment to my models...even when they Are Wrong. This model of Titanic II has been sitting for over two years up in one of the hangers at the Shearwater Air Base. Not been seen, not being appreciated, not really doing anything.

The chance meeting, the request for a job, and the possibility of finding a home for this model made the choice clear. Keep the parts of Titanic II that are right, and Change EVERYTHING else.

So here are the development shots of how I went ahead and changed my ship!

Taking the Old ship apart was hard....(Titanic II)

But as the hull began to take shape again, I could see that my efforts were paying off...

The Start of the "Rusticles" and the finer details has begun...

You can see in this pic, the Cranes, the Fallen mast, and the new hulls sides in place...

This is the last shot at my Apartment...Man there was an empty space left behind. After 5 weeks living with this thing...

The Start Of Colour...Now I can finally see that all the work is indeed paying off.

The start of the Washes, and the dry brushing... Finally the wreck is as she should be.

"This is the first time that I have had the chance to see the changes in one place. To see the destruction of my original ship. Then to see it come back to life much better than before, is quite a good feeling. I hope you enjoy watching the development of this project as much as I have. Thanks for your time in looking at my work."

Almost finished, but as you can see the brass was a bit bright...

Finally complete!

There are some shots of this model that I call "Magic"...click here to take a peek...
